Super cool sister-fronted band Summer Twins from California, have released their first single, “Demons,” from their upcoming record, Limbo. Their modern /’60s garage rock sounds come with a bit of a bite. Inspired by The Ramones and The Donnas, the band first joined forces on their debut EP in 2010, recorded in a friend’s bedroom. Signed with everyone’s favorite label, Burger Records, they continue to produce dreamy harmonies tinged with a bit of garage-y psychedelia.
The sisters, Chelsea and Justine Brown, are still learning to balance their art with making a living, which fueled the creation of Limbo. Justine and Chelsea holed themselves up in an isolated Sacramento studio for ten rainy days in the winter of 2014 to capture the isolated, intense yet dreamy sound revealed in Limbo. The new record will be released on October 2nd, 2015. But until then, listen to their single, “Demons” here for a sneak peek of the record.
