This past Saturday, BUST teamed up with Pussy Powerhouse to host Zero Waste, a day aimed towards a sustainable future through fashion, food and art! With over 50 vendors, events, classes, and workshops, the day was filled with interactivity, inspiration and excitement.
Bees aren’t just for honey, honey! Associate Editor Callie Watts led a workshop on DIY Reusable Beeswax Food Wraps.
Some highlights included the classic and intricate clothing from Dusty Rose Vintage, the nourishing and replenishing serums from Apoterra, the reusable collapsible drink cups from Stojo, and interactive community during workshops and lectures. At the Zine Making Workshop, event-goers got the chance to customize personalized vision boards and posters with BUST’s very own Creative Director, Laurie Henzel. Crafters also made their very own macramé plant hangers using Hoooked’s Zpagetti yarn, made from recycled t-shirt fabric, with none other than Debbie Stoller, BUST’s Editor-in-Chief and bestselling craft book author. And visitors were given the life-altering opportunity to switch to renewable energy, provided by Green Mountain Energy.
