Did You See Anyone Cool on Record Store Day?

by Web Intern

So, last week we posted about Record Store Day , when indie music shops across the country hosted events and appearances by awesome artists. Well, that was last Saturday and while I wasn’t able to go to any of the events, it looks like they were pretty fantastic.

I was very upset that I couldn’t go to Generation Records to see my favorite band, the Bouncing Souls, live and acoustic (*sigh*) so I thought I’d post a couple of YouTube videos of their performance. First, one of their especially awesome songs ”87” from the album Hopeless Romantic, then after the jump is their cover of the Cure’s ”Just Like Heaven.”

Also, Mayor Bloomberg issued a proclamation declaring April 18, 2009, officially Record Store Day in NYC. Awesome!

The day has its own YouTube channel.

Anyone go to any cool events on Saturday? We’d love to hear some stories or see some of your videos and pictures!
