Whether you like it or not, Willow Smith’s latest album is all about emotions. Finding them, processing them, repressing them, expressing them—it’s all in there. Once you get to the last track, “bigfeelings,” that will be pretty obvious. Beyond the lyrics, the jazzy experimental pop blend that empathogen offers also feels raw and natural. Six albums into her career, we are finally meeting the real side of Willow, who, in a way, is also still finding herself and growing into the self-aware artist she is today at only 23 years old.
