Amaze Babe Karen O, vocalist of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and former BUST cover girl, will be performing the Oscar nominated original tune “The Moon Song” at the Academy Awards on March 2nd.
The awards mark her first time performing this song for a televised audience and we couldn’t be more excited to see her bring the gorgeous new tune to life.
With the music written by Karen O and the lyrics by her and director Spike Jonze, “The Moon Song” is featured in Jonze’s film Her. Karen O has previously written original songs for Jonze’s 2009 film Where The Wild Things Are and for numerous other soundtracks.
Aside from pretty much every moment that Ellen has the stage while hosting, this performance will definitely be a highlight of this year’s Oscars.
