Nancy Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and Jacqueline Kennedy have more in common than being iconic women of this century: They’ve all walked in Beth Levine’s shoes. Christened as “The First Lady of Shoe Design,” Levine introduced the mule, the stiletto, and even boots to the wardrobes of women across America, and impacted fashion in the 1960s, an era of which remains influential in fashion to this day.

Another Williamsburg Fashion Weekend is almost upon us and this season's lineup is surely not to dissappoint. The event, held this coming weekend at Glasslands Gallery, will feature local and national independent designers including BUST faves Ruffeo Hearts Lil Snotty, whose use of bright colors and playful patterns surely make a statement, and SDN whose sustainable pieces put a modern twist on a classically polished aesthetic. American Apparel is on the hunt for their next soft-core porn model, asking women to put two cheeks to the wind for their "Best Bottom in the World" competition. The clothing company is having women submit photos of their backsides clad in AA products to their website, where they are being scored and commented on. We’ve gotten a sneak peek at Sonia Rykiel’s new line for H&M, and, being as that the pieces so far sport fun colors, bows, and bedazzling, we love it. Rykiel, known for her knits, brings adorable sweaters and accessories from her French boutiques to the public with this collection, her second with the Swedish retailer.
