When the cast of 30 Rock bid a last adieu to their Thursday night slot on NBC...everything basically shattered for me. First The Office, now this? Suddenly, Parks & Recreation had to pull a lot of the comedy weight for the widely-acknowledged funniest network on the telly. And I suddenly had an extra hour and a half to fill every week, twiddling my thumbs in the absence of a Liz Lemon laugh riot.  It's been a rough few years, but finally -- does one ... Read More
At the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Gala, the lovely Gabourey Sidibe gave a kick-ass speech about cookies, confidence, bullying, and being an asshole. God, I love her. Sidibe recounts how hard it was to get bullied at school and at home, but remains grateful to the haters for making her stronger, finding her beauty, and being funny as hell. Still, the hate doesn’t stop. Sidibe is constantly the target of racism and sizeism for being a black, fat woman who ... Read More
I know, it's a lot to take in. This is a talent threesome dreams are made of.  A new series entitled Difficult People will star hilarious On the Street with Billy host Billy Eichner and wildly talented head writer Julie Klausner as cranky New York City comedians who apparently hate everyone, but love pop-culture, and each other. The show will be produced by none other than Amy Poehler, because she does everything awesome. Based on the awkward and perfect ... Read More
Cornrowed badass Brooke Candy is releasing her new EP, Opulence,  on May 6th – and she dropped a music video for the album's title track earlier this week. Candy, who considers herself equal parts stripper and rapper, had her breakout with a verse on Grimes’ track “Genesis” and then quickly released her own single, “Das Me,” which propelled her to cult icon status. Her sound is a smorgasbord of ... Read More
In case y'all missed it, Queen Diane Keaton appeared Tuesday on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote her new book (!!!) Let’s Just Say It Wasn’t Pretty, released this week.    Keaton, 68, was dressed in pure Annie Hall fab, and she gave a delightful, signature-Keaton-charm interview, hat and all. She talked about talk show nerves (it was her first interview with Fallon), her stick-on nails from Sally Hansen, and she also shared some ... Read More
Emma Stone is seriously becoming my favorite human being. I’m still giving her props for aptly handling her bf’s sexist comment. But this time around I’m admiring her most recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and how she brought the heaaaat. Fallon started off strong with a lip synch to Iggy Azaleas "Fancy" and some divalicious dance moves…but he was not equipped to deal with Stone’s insane performance of "Hook" by Blues ... Read More
Laverne Cox, star of Orange Is The New Black and activist for trans* rights, awareness and visibility is at work with Logo and MTV to produce a new documentary that will follow the lives of four transgendered teens and young adults between the ages of 14-24. This new film will proceed Cox’s previous production debut: a documentary on the life and case of CeCe McDonald, a TWOC that was arrested and charged with accidental murder after defending herself from a ... If there are two things I care about in this world, it’s a person’s consent to sex and Game of Thrones. Definitely in that order. That’s why I’m starting to get a little fed up with the unnecessary rape scenes thrown into Game of Thrones that were not included in the book. I’m definitely not the only one who feels this way. There has been an outcry amongst fans after last week’s episode “Breaker of Chains” included a ... Read More
"I’ve just found my new favorite thing." That’s what I thought to myself while watching Ingrid Jungermann sext “I want to respect you from behind” in her Web Series “F to 7th.” The episode--my favorite of the first season--revolves around Ingrid’s sexual relationship with guest star Ann Carr, when the women find out they were both wearing the strap on in the relationship, quite literally. “F to 7th” deals with ... Bad Lip Reading is back and as uproarious as ever.  The first time I watched Twilight I was helping out at a birthday party for 13- year- old girl, so I was without a doubt scarred for life. Robert Patterson was ruined forever. Thankfully, Bad Lip Reading came to my rescue. This video is the only way I could ever watch 7 minutes of the Twilight series without cringing.  The clip is full of hilarious lines and even a couple of tambourine song numbers. ... Read More
