Just a bit of inspiration for your Friday from our BUST Video Vault. Special needs kitty, Kelly May, was nursed back to health after having her four legs amputated.  My pal Elizabeth thinks she looks like a sweet little glow worm.  I liked that. Here we have a brief vid of the cutest sloths you have ever seen...ever. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love me some kittens and whatnot, but these guys don't even have to play or do anything. They look at the camera and I am merely a puddle on the floor. You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this video Check out the whole clip here! Thanks to The Frisky for posting this gem! One Band + One Author series, Show Off Your Sugar, continues at CoCo 66 this Thursday, August 19th. The amazing Sloane Crosley will be reading from her collection of essays, I Was Told There'd Be Cake.  She has earned a vast amount of literary praise and the occasional comparison to David Sedaris.  This girl is FUNNY! Following Crosley, there will be an acoustic performance by Brooklyn-by-way-of-Georgia band, Phosphorescent.  These guys are a personal favorite of mine and have a brand new video that y'all should really get into.      It’s been a long scorcher of a summer and most of our brains have melted into a gelatinous goop that in just a few weeks we will be scraping off of the sizzling pavement to revive them for fall’s flutter. What better a way to send off the summer’s heat, and begin the quest for new, hopefully more functional, brains than a good old-fashioned game of Capture the Flag, zombie-style! This Saturday in NYC, August 14th NYCentric and Chaos Brigade will be hosting an entire day of blood, guts and all-around good times on historic Governors Island. Read More
