Cute Overload!

BY Emily Rems in General

Once upon a time there was a mom in France who realized her four-year-old daughter Capucine was totally awesome at telling stories, so she started video taping her and putting the clips on Vimeo for the world to enjoy. It didn't take long for net surfers to get totally obsessed with Capucine's stories - posting them all over the place, and that's when her mom had another great idea. Read More

BUST's Movie Hall of Fame

BY Lisa in General

For all the movies I've seen, there's a shit ton that I haven't. When Debbie found out the other day that I've never watched All About Eve, she nearly excommunicated me from the office until I could say that I had. Well, since we're on deadline she let me stick around but it got us talking about what films belong in BUST's Movie Hall of Fame. Read More
I am totally TMZ'n over Frank Lloyd Wright every since one of my besties, Fabrisha Dankins of Drunky Brewster Fame, turned me onto Loving Frank, I think it was last summer. You probably are familiar with Wright's architecture but you may not know about his life, which should've totally been made into a movie by now, unless it already has been and I missed it. Not a documentary but a full blown Hollywood to-do. I suggest when they finally do adapt his life to big screen it gets based on Loving Frank. Read More

One Hot Mama

BY Team Intern in General

Singer and style icon M.I.A. has done it yet again with her unique fashion sense.  Despite being nine months pregnant and ready to burst, M.I.A. kept her swagger while on stage alongside, Jay-Z, T.I., Lil Wayne and Kanye West at this years Grammy awards.  Between Kanye's ego and M.I.A.'s bump I was surprised there was enough room on the stage for everyone else.    I bet pregnant women across America are trying to figure out which maternity store sells sweet frocks like this, but I doubt you can pick this up at your local mall's, 'A Pea in the Pod' shop.  M.I.A. Don't Divorce Them!

BY Emily Rems in General

'Fidelity': Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.  I just watched this video called 'Fidelity' that the Courage Campaign has put out with Regina Spektor to support their petition asking the Supreme Court to invalidate prop 8 and it totally made me well up. Like, did you know that Ken Starr has already launched an initiative that, if passed, would un-marry all the gay couples that already wed in California before prop 8? Madness. Check it out, and let your legislators know that the best valentine they could give our country would be the civil right to marry for all. Read More
It's true, Humbert Humbert's be walking among us. I have been doing a bit of research on women's issues in the Middle East and upon doing so came across this story of an 8 year old girl being married off to a 47 year old man in Saudi Arabia. Part of me wants to believe it cannot be true. Part of me knows that this totally happens. I guess father's are marrying off their daughters under the ages of 15 to pay off debts and there is little to nothing that mother's or young girls can do about it. Gross. Read More
I've been totally on the fence about this octuplet thing since it started dominating the news. On the one hand, I think a woman's reproductive freedoms should extend to all facets of family planing. And I also think that people have been pretty harsh in their judgments of Nadya Suleman since the news broke that her now-famous babies are only the most recent editions to her brood of 14 in-vitro children. Gigi is Kinda Creepy

BY Jenni in General

I have a shameful secret. Well, I have two. The first is that I have some serious holes in my movie knowledge, and the second is that I have a sweet spot for romantic comedies. I've been trying to rectify the former while indulging the latter these days. Though I've managed to sit through a Derek Jarman film or two and saw The Holy Mountain hosted by the director himself at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, I've never seen an Audrey Hepburn movie, anything with Gene Kelly, or any of the classic musicals. It's Friday It's PayDay!

BY Callie in General

Everything's gonna go my way day. At BUST HQ we have been playing this song every payday since it came out in 2006 in celebration. I just realized how much Ying Yang that is, every other Friday for 2 years! This summer Emily pointed out that non-payday Fridays were extra sad so she suggested we play Werewolf Bar Mitzvah. Of course everyone was down for this because that song rules, the whole premise is scary. Watch it after the jump. Now I'm off the clock so what you got to say. Read More
