Haters gonna hate, but the members of The Prancing Elite aren’t letting that stop them. “When you’re a Prancing Elite, you come in fighting,” member Adrian Clemons, 24, told Kevin Fallon about the criticism the troupe faces dancing in their hometown of Mobile, Alabama. Suffice to say it isn't easy to be black or gay or both in certain red states.

With over 37, 400 signatures and counting, New York writer Sabrina Lamb has succeeded in getting Oxygen to drop their heinous show proposal “All My Babies’ Mamas.” The cancelled show would have followed Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo and his eleven children with their ten mothers.
The Parents Television Council said the show was “grotesquely irresponsible and exploitative.” When Lamb first saw a promotion for the program, her “blood curdled.” She was especially concerned with the embarrassment the children would face for entertainment’s sake. Read More

You might have heard about Oxygen’s newly proposed reality show, “All My Babies’ Mamas,” which spotlights rapper Shawty Lo’s eleven children and their ten different mothers. If that premise wasn’t appalling enough, the entire show is styled after cheesy dating game show parodies such as Flavor of Love and Rock of Love. Each woman is given a ridiculous nickname, meant to seem playful or funny I guess, that includes the phrase “Baby Mama,” such as the Shady Baby Mama, the Jealous Baby Mama, the Fighter Baby Mama, etc. Read More
