In the realm of iconic female characters, Miss Piggy reigns supreme. Introduced in 1974, at forty-one she has lasted far past the f**kable age usually given to female celebrities, and shows no signs of stopping. Her loud, charming, abrasive attitude combined hyper-femme style makes her an excellent recipient of the New York Museum Award.

While I was beginning to believe only Millennials were obsessed with computers, Mickey Mouse and selfies, artist Ultra Violet (Isabelle Collin Dufresne) took these obsessions to the next level. She passed away on June 14th at 78 years old, but we can can remember her for the beautiful art instillations she created that prompted the viewer to interpret iconic symbols in our society in a completely different way.
In her day, Ultra Violet was a purple-haired artist who worked with some others you might’ve heard of: Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol, just to name a few. Read More

In addition to reprising her iconic role, actress Carrie Fisher claims that she may also bring back the infamous buns!
“The bagel buns and the bikini,” Fisher told Palm Beach Illustrated, “because probably [Princess Leia] has sundowners syndrome. At sundown, she thinks that she’s 20-something. And she puts it on and gets institutionalized.”
It seems she is over previous reports that wearing the buns make her feel, “Like an asshole. A complete undignified jerk off.”
