After the success of her recent collection of essays Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s ‘Learned', the 28-year-old director/actor/writer will be bringing one of her favorite childhood books to the big screen.  What book will it be? Catherine, Called Birdy, the Newbery Honor-winning young adult novel written by Karen Cushman, published in 1994.
