One of my favorite collections of the season has to be the adorably wearable Spring/Summer 2013 collection by Rachel Antonoff. Each season, her presentation is cuter than the last and this season doesn’t disappoint. Her garden party of fashion was a wonderland of preppy, school-yard looks with a hint of classic edge. The inspiration, 1977’s scientific film Powers of Ten, can be seen in the mesmerizing silk prints (which are actually aerial garden views) and in the maze itself, which gives the feeling of being inside the print. It’s pretty much impossible for Rachel Antonoff to create anything less than ridiculously adorable clothing and accessories, so of course, her newest fall 2012 collection is nothing short of charming and wearable. From shiny jewels and Peter Pan collar dresses to Bye Bye Birdie sweatshirts and floral creeper shoes, there is a youthfulness to a lot of the pieces that feels both elegant and modern, but playful at the same time. I recently discovered Founders & Followers, the fancy online shop with a million "must add to my wish list" kind of items by some of my favorite designers, along with awesome ones I'd never heard of. Besides just being an online shop, the appropriately named store is sort of a mishmash of designers, artists, photo shoots, and workshop features of where the designers get their work groove on.
