Peaches’ New Film to Premiere in SF Along With Special Live Performance

by Tess Duncan

Our favorite gender norm destroyer Peaches will be hosting a very special event this Thursday for the premiere of her new feature film Peaches Does Herself. The screening will take place at the San Francisco International Film Festival, followed by a Q & A with Peaches herself. The opera includes 23 original Peaches songs and includes a cast of crew of over 40. Peaches wrote, directed, and stars in the musical and reviewers are already singing its praises. The Hollywood Reporter sums it up as “a loosely biographical rock opera featuring outlandish costumes, transsexual dancers, lashing of smutty humor and simulated hardcore sex, this self-directed carnival of carnal excess feels like The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a postgrad doctorate in Queer Theory.” Yes, PLEASE.

Anyone with a ticket to the film, which you can buy right here, will receive free entry to Peaches’ live concert on Wednesday at Mezzanine, located at 444 Jessie Street. Sure to be a raging good time, get your hands on those tickets now!
