2. Land of Women on Apple TV+
Inspired by Sandra Barneda‘s best selling novel, Land of Women stars Eva Longoria as a very wealthy New Yorker, whose life is flipped upside down when her husband does some shady money moves and disappears, forcing her to flee the city with her mother (the legendary Carmen Maura) and daughter (Victoria Bazúa). They escape to the tiny wine town in Spain that her mom had left over 50 years ago. It is not long before both the past and a couple hired hitmen catch up to them. Start streaming episodes of this romcom family dram on June 26th.
3. Queer West on Audible

5. Tuesday
Hitting theaters June 14th, Tuesday is an absolutely beautiful, emotional and magical portrayal of confronting death. The film stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a mother (Zora) who’s teenage daughter (the titular Tuesday played by Lola Petticrew) is terminally ill. Death arrives in the form of a talking bird and proceeds to show Zora that not only is death unavoidable but also what the afterlife really means.
6. Mastermind: To Think Like A Killer on Hulu
Produced by Dakota and Elle Fanning, this three episode docu-series (dropping July 11th) takes a look at Dr. Ann Burgess, who helped develop modern serial-killer profiling. Her work with the FBI put her at the center of some of America’s most infamous true-crime cases such as Ted Bundy, the Ski Mask Rapist and the Menendez brothers. Burgess investigated and studied the minds of both victims and attackers. Her research found commonalities between different serial attackers personality traits and actions. Mastermind is a fascinating look at what it takes to figure out how to really think like a killer, a must watch for all true-crime fans.
7. Thelma
Doing all of her own stunts at 94 years old, Oscar winner June Squibb takes the lead in this hilarious action comedy opening in theaters June 21st. When she falls victim to a phone scam, Thelma decides she is not too old to seek revenge and sets out on a motorized scooter across LA on a mission to get her money back. Inspired by the real-life experience of director Josh Margolin‘s grandmother, the film also stars BUST fav Parker Posey and The White Lotus’ Fred Hechinger. Take note scammers – just because they move slow, that doesn’t mean they wont come for you!
8. I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This: (But I’m Going to Anyway) by Chelsea Devantez
Chelsea Devantez is an Emmy-nominated writer for shows like The Problem With Jon Stewart and Girls5Eva. She also hosts Glamorous Trash, a podcast where she invites her famous friends to dig into celebrity memoirs. Now, she is dropping her first memoir (June 4th) and it’s a doozy. Each story focuses on a woman who has shaped her life from friends to fictional characters and celebrities and she spills a lot of tea on both celebrities and herself. The tea in one particular story, about an ex-boyfriend and a series of drive-by shootings, had to have some details blacked out for legal reasons.
9. The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat on Hulu
Uzo Aduba, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Sanaa Lathan play three besties known as “The Supremes”. They have held it together since the 1960’s, seeing each other through racism, divorce, even murder. But their friendship is about to truly be tested and the past is about to stir up some shit. Based on The New York Times best seller by Edward Kelsey Moore, the film hits the small screen Aug 23rd.
10. Am I Ok? on Max
A coming of age story about coming a little later in age. The film centers on the lifelong friendship between Lucy (Dakota Johnson) and Jane (Sonoya Mizuno). They have the kind of bond where they finish each other’s sentences and know all the details about each other’s lives. Things get all shaken up when Jane accepts a promotion at work that would require her to move to London. While Lucy is dealing with the anxiety of her bestie moving, she is also coming to terms with the fact that she may be a lesbian. How can she go through such a huge self-realization without her closest mate? Directed by Tig Notaro and her real life partner Stephanie Allynne, the film starts streaming June 6th.
