Miley Cyrus All Tied Up In Her New Bondage-Themed Video

by Elle Brosh

Leather, whips, fishnets, and choke holds are the ingredients for Miley newest undertaking. For her “Bangerz” world tour, Miley Cyrus has teamed up with  multi-media artist and fashion filmmaker, Quentin Jones, to create a risque two-minute video titled, Tongue-Tied. This sleek black and white art film in which Cyrus flaunts her nearly nude body is scheduled to play before the howling crowds awaiting her airborne hotdog entrance.

While Miley toils to fortify her new found radical self, disseminating an anti-censorship, “I-don’t-give-a-FUCK” message, she is repeatedly subject to critique. Though the racy work that Miley does is not all too different from her pop-star peers, her DGAF attitude will surely excite the anti-Miley fire… or maybe not.

In the hopes of liberating her fans from the shackles of censorship, sexual repression, and respectability, Miley has chosen to unveil her unapologetic kinkiness in Tongue-Tied.

The film seems to draw inspiration from Madonna’s, 1994 “Human Nature” music video, as it attempts to encourage the wonderful world of the sexual fetish. While Madonna chants the mantra, “”express yourself don’t repress yourself,” Miley has taken a darker and more cryptic route. As Miley  flaunts her leather fetters and black tape pasties, the following words sound in the background:

“Tie me up so I can’t break free, hold me down so it’s hard to breathe, use control, keep your eyes on me, tie me down, got me alone, the Stockholm syndrome”

Hm…

Not a huge fan of that one lyric, but the video sure is cool! Miley is certainly not encouraging any sort of unsafe behavior, hence the safe words, but she will be sure to filter out her younger fan base with this one. That’s what she wants, isn’t it?

Is Miley’s bondage-style art film a successful celebration of sexual freedom and expression?
