Let’s play a game. How many movies have you seen this summer? Okay, and how many of those movies have had female leads? Two female leads? If you answered very few, that’s not surprising. Data collected by Vulture shows that no more than 18% of films in 2013 have more than one woman in a co-starring role. Though this statistic is abysmal, it’s nothing new in the film industry. Is this for real? Possibly the most sexist TV program in history? In this Danish chat show, women walk out in a bathrobe and stand in front of two men – host Thomas Blachman and his male guest. The women then strip as Blachman and his guest assess their naked figures, oftentimes with humiliating comments.
Blachman, a judge of the Danish X-factor, insists that he is doing women a favor since the “female body thirsts for the words of a man.” Riiiiight. Read More

Created for lonely students, the "girlfriend replacement coat" intends to mimic the satisfaction a wearer can get from receiving a hug from behind by a girlfriend. Eurostar, a company based in the United Arab Emirates, has created a tablet specifically for women, and the result is nothing good. Their new creation, the ePad Femme, has an 8-inch touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.0. Oh – and let’s not forget the pink cover and homescreen – this is for women after all.
The ePad Femme, which currently costs $170, is currently only sold in the Middle East and parts of Asia. And it isn’t the first product marketed exclusively for women. Read More
