The New York City chapter of the National Organization for Women will be rallying today against the latest poll from TIME magazine that said they would like to ban the word "Feminist" from our lexicon in 2015, along with the words "bae" and "kale." NOW is having none of this nonsense, even after TIME's sad attempt at an apology for the poll results.
The protest will be today (November 19) from 12:30pm-1:15pm at TIME Headquarters, 1271 Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave. between 50-51st). Read More

Off-color? Possibly. Inappropriate for an elected official? Maybe. Absolutely awesome? Definitely.
At a personhood rally at the Oklahoma Capitol on Tuesday, Senator Judy Eason McIntyre of Tulsa, earned an audible “You go, girl!” from yours truly when she held up a sign reading, “If I wanted the government in my womb I'd fuck a senator.”
Senator McIntyre didn’t bring the sign to the rally herself, but stated that when she saw it, she just had to have a photo with it. Read More

Recently Virginia lawmakers threw their hat in the race for Worst State to be a Woman In when they introduced anti-choice legislation. People across the state responded on Monday, February 20th, when over 1,200 people gathered on the Capitol grounds in silent protest. Despite that message, this week the House of Delegates passed SB 484, legislation which will force women seeking an abortion to undergo an expensive and medically unnecessary (not to mention invasive) ultrasound.
