Many of my most formative moments took place on the John Jay High School Swim & Dive team bus. I am almost a college graduate. After four years of kicking butt, studying, hanging out with friends, going to bed too late, and several late nights in the computer lab, my time in higher education has come to a close. Whew.

Throughout TV and film female friendship is core, unshakable thing in a sea of bad boyfriends, family drama, children, health scares, and careers. Yet the curtain is starting to lift, showing that friendship is like any other relationship: there are problems and sometimes it takes a lot of work.
In 8th grade my best friend, Liz, stopped talking to me. Read More
