Of all the free outdoor music events in NYC happening this summer, one of the best is the Americanafest NYC, celebrating American roots music, happening now at the beautiful Damrosch Park located at Lincoln Center. Wednesday night, the Godmother of Americana and alt country, Emmylou Harris and her long time musical collaborator of 40 years, Rodney Crowell, kicked off this awesome festival.
