I have a confession to make: I'm a compulsive list-maker. Of course, this isn't always a bad thing; I've learned the hard way that if I don't write something down, I most likely won't do it (or it'll take me weeks, or even months, to get around to). Short, daily to-do lists that split up bigger tasks into smaller incremental actions have been proven time and time again to increase productivity. “My aspiration in life, is to be happy” begins Beyoncé’s song “Pretty Hurts” off her album BEYONCÉ. Apparently her aspiration is to make quite a lot of other people happy as well.

In a progressive and unprecedented move, Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah has sworn 30 women into the Shura Council. The Council, a previously all-male body, is in charge of advising the king on issues that affect Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah amended the council’s statute last month by requiring that 20 percent of the 150 members be women. King Abdullah’s female appointments mark the first time in Saudi Arabia’s history that women have been allowed to hold any political office. Read More

The 2012 Presidential election is just around the corner and Michelle wants all the ladies to get involved. She recently announced Women For Obama, a new fundraising group that looks to reengage the women who are still hoping a change is gonna come.
