Embroidery enthusiast Lucky Jackson has made it her mission to create a new work of embroidery for every day of the year, with the clever mantra "Less Bitchin' More Stitchin'" in mind, according to her Etsy shop announcement. And if that’s not ambitious enough, her project is already taking on a second year of operation.
After Jackson finishes a piece, she posts it on her website for viewers to comment on and ask questions about. But Jackson isn’t just whipping up your average vintage embroidery catalog pieces. Read More
As of a year ago yesterday, the internet has been invaded with live streams of cute animals, rants and raves on seemingly everything on TV and the silver screen ever, and a lot of baller nail art. This sparkly invasion is brought to you by the infectious laughter of HelloGiggles, an online community pitched as "the female alternative to funny or die," created by the Queen of all things Adorable herself Zooey Deschanel with friends Sophia Rossi and Molly McAleer.
McAleer and Rossi met through their online network of hilarious bloggers, and then Rossi met Deschanel in aerobics class at the gym. Read More
There’s a new blog that has us in stitches, and you need to check it out if you wanna get your daily laugh on. The Tumblr “Is This Feminist?” features what stock photos of women doing regular things-- laundry, science experiments, eating salad-- and asks the burning question of each: is this feminist?

You probably know her from Mrs. Doubtfire or as the beloved titular bookworm in Matilda – Mara Wilson, former child actor, opened up on her (very well-written) blog, Mara Wilson Writes Stuff, about her take on the nature of the film acting industry.

We have all read and loved her posts here on the BUST blog, as well as her keen eye for fashionable detail. We have probably even spent more than what is considered a healthy amount of time on her fashion blog, the Rebel Waltz, as she captures street styles from places like New York City, Austin, and San Francisco. But, we aren't the only ones who are taking notice. Former BUST intern Kristina Uriegas-Reyes is attracting some outside attention these days and, of course, we have to let you all know (so you can stalk her more than you already do). Read More

Jay-z's new blog is LEGIT. The aesthetically pleasing front page makes it's content easy to browse. The photographs are pristine, the articles are attention grabbing and interesting and the candid interview with Gwyneth Paltrow where she reveals her secret love of gangster rap is totally adorable. "I went to LA the summer between my junior and senior year of high school and i discovered N.W.A which became my obsession." Personally, one of the highlights of the site was the Santigold and Karen O collaboration. Read More

It’s okay for women to have sex as long as they don’t enjoy it or actually desire it. That’s so fifty years ago, right? Wrong.
Claudia Bellocq, in her blog, Claudia Bites! writes about being called a slut. Awful from a man, but worse still from woman to woman. Teenage girls do it all the time. When our hormones are raging, when we’re just becoming a sexual being, it's the thing we fling at another girl to hurt her, take her down a notch, ruin her reputation. Read More
