In 2008 Kathy Griffin became the first woman to make it to #1 on the Billboard Top Comedy List, and five years later she became the third female comedian ever to win a Grammy. As 2014 comes to close, Griffin is keeping busy on a nationwide comedy tour, preparing to replace her late hero Joan Rivers on E!’s Fashion Police, and will be honored in Monday’s release of MAKERS: Women in Comedy on PBS.

February 26th is going to be a whole lot of feminist fun. At 8:00 P.M Eastern Standard Time PBS will be debuting the documentary “MAKERS: Women Who Make America.” The film will profile ass-kicking female trailblazers and show how women have taken increasingly prominent roles in political, economic, and social arenas. And how better to introduce a documentary on social revolution than with an interview with Gloria Steinem, the patron saint of American feminism and beloved founder of Ms. Magazine. Read More
