Dell Williams will forever be remembered as New York City’s number one resource to women’s sexual pleasure. The Manhattan born, Bronx raised woman offered other women the opportunity for sexual exploration in a time when orgasms and masturbation were considered ‘dirty’ and ‘taboo’ by opening her own sex shop called Eve’s Garden.
Williams was a former advertising executive, actress, and part of the Women’s Army Corps (WAC). Read More

Music is a very male-dominated industry, and when women do rise to prominence they are often pitted against and compared to each other, despite the fact that each queen is a unique snowflake and should be treated as such.
But once in a blue moon, all the stars align and three or more female powerhouses collaborate to create a club-banger that reminds the boys that these divas are not only fierce, but borderline superhuman when they work together. You better work, ladies. Read More

August is coming to a close (where did the month go??) and a lot of our Busties will be going back to school this fall, so we thought we would compile our intern staff's favorite songs of the past month (new and old!) to wrap up the summer, now that the dog days are over. The nights are already getting cooler, we're all secretly aching to get back to wearing cute boots and knee high socks, and I for one am ready to drink hot coffee again. I mean, I'm not going to stop drinking iced coffee, I just like having the option of drinking a nice foamy latte. Read More

Zoe Saldana was recently a guest on Watch What Happens: Live with Andy Cohen, when a viewer called in and asked (in a very judgmental tone I might add), what Zoe thought of Britney Spear’s show in Vegas, and if she heard her song that was recently released without autotune (which I will not link to because that is irrelevant). And Zoey handled it like the ultimate sweetie-pie homegirl we know she is. Read More

In conversation with Extra’s Mario Lopez, Britney Spears admitted that she’s considering retirement after her over-the-top two year stint at Planet Hollywood for the “Britney Spears Piece of Me” show. The Las Vegas show opens December 27th and is rumored to have more dancing than ever and a plethora of props and gags. If this is her last hurrah, it seems like it would be a good note to end on; she explains that it is both her hardest and funniest show to date. Read More

The linguistic phenomenon of “creaky voice” has been well documented and, one would have thought, sufficiently argued about. If you’ve spent any time on a college campus in the past decade, or have even found yourself in the presence of young women in that time, you’re probably very familiar with what is called “vocal fry”. It’s that speech pattern, most evident in young women, that involves letting the ends of phrases ride low in the vocal register. Read More

Word on the street is that Christina Aguilera can act. That means she's ready to leap frog over Mariah Carey (for the lackluster Glitter) and Britney Spears (for the forgettable Crossroads) in a bid to hit the heights not reached since Barbara Streisand gave the world (the remake of) A Star is Born! Given the loopy premise–that this girl's DREAM is to dirty dance at a failing LA nightclub–I'd be ready to dismiss Burlesque in a hot minute except that Aguilera has shown the good sense to work with heavyweights Cher and, get ready, Stanley Tucci. Forbes Magazine has just released its annual list of “The 100 Most Powerful Celebrities” and it appears the past year was particularly good for Hollywood’s most talented and versatile ladies.
Raking in a ridiculous $315 million from her media empire, the one and only Oprah Winfrey kicked Angelina Jolie out of the No. 1 spot to reclaim her throne.
She’s followed by Beyonce at No. 2 who earned $87 million largely due to her endorsement deals with like a hundred different companies and ability to poop out infectious pop songs every other month. Read More
