You Eat This?!

I was wandering around the Serious Eats website, a food blog about chow in the NYC area, and spotted this odd baked good.

In Barbara Kingsolver’s book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, you can find a recipe for Frida Kahlo’s Pan de Muerta, which is a traditional Day of the Dead treat made to honor those that have passed on.

Oh Ms. Kahlo, I don’t know if this is what you were going for with your recipe but know that I find it somewhat cute and smile-worthy.
