Anyone who has practiced yoga knows how powerful it can be. Now there’s a new documentary film coming out which explores the yoga phenomenon. The documentary, Yogawoman, is narrated by Annette Bening and it tells the story of women finding power and strength through yoga. It deals with women’s personal experiences of empowerment through yoga, but also with the history of yoga itself. It discusses how yoga was brought to the west from India, and how yoga has evolved into the mainstream. The film shows how yoga has become a revolution, transforming women all over the world as they become more in touch with their strength and find inner peace. It also includes interviews with world-renowned yoga teachers including Patricia Walden, Seane Corn, Sharon Ganno, Shiva Rea, Angela Farmer, and Cyndi Lee. From bringing together the wisdom of these teachers to the inspiring stories of women whose lives have changed because of yoga, this is sure to be a fascinating and enlightening film.
