It is a match made in heaven. Seriously. The new single “Q.U.E.E.N.” from Janelle Monae, featuring Erykah Badu, has us dancing up a storm. This is the first track released from her upcoming album. The album is entitled The Electric Lady and it is funky, slinky, jazzy and cinematic. The single features Monae’s signature velvet vocals and an infectious energy. Add Erykah Badu doing what she does best, throwing down a flawless and effortless performance. According to Monae’s Twitter, “Q.U.E.E.N was inspired by private discussions between Erykah and me. It is meant to make you JAM. DANCE. FUNK OUT. and dialogue later…” She nailed it. This track will be on heavy rotation all summer.
