‘Gilmore Girls’ Graces Us Once Again—This Time With Amy Schumer

by Grace Easterby

I probably started watching Gilmore Girls in the 5th grade—long before I understood any of the references (tbh, still don’t understand many of them). I, then, received the official Gilmore Girls complete 7 series box set for Christmas in the 8th grade (I didn’t realize how damn expensive that was until googling it just now, thanks, Mom and Dad). Later, in high school, I would watch reruns after school at 4:00 on ABC Family, quite the staple in my daily routine. And, the summer after my freshman year of college I started rewatching the 7 beautiful seasons, from start to finish, with the help of a Netflix release, which I completed last November. Gilmore Girls means a great deal to me, to say the least. So suffice to say, I—and thousands of others across the world—was beyond ecstatic to hear of the revival.

Coming out November 25th, this heartfelt, humorous, modern take on our fav show will be a four part, mini-series covering the four seasons in Stars Hollow. EEEEEP!!! It’s too damn exciting. Especially, with a teaser that came out yesterday that shows the mom and daughter duo just like we remember—eating pop-tarts, drinking coffee, and just shootin’ the shit. The twist is that the shit they’re shooting is talking about John Oliver and Amy Schumer, like what, LOL. We can’t wait and both Oliver and Schumer have already responded to being highlighted in this American Classic.

Check out the sneak peek below.
