I don’t know about the rest of you ladies, but I was a little girl of the 80s and 90s who was raised on video games. You know, fighting Bowser at age 4; whooping yo booty at Mortal Kombat by 8; the whole deal (this might be a good time to mention that I named my dog Zelda after – you guessed it – the Legend of Zelda series). I could fly Sonic through those gold rings with the best of ’em. I chalk it up to having an older brother and a dad who were Nintendo-crazy.
Anyhoo, thanks to that, I am always stoked to see resurgences of old games available to be played online or on my cell phone (or downloaded into my Wii). I know you can get Tetris and Pac-Man for iPod and iPhone, plus I have Sonic the Hedgehog and (again) Tetris on my non-Apple phone. But I was excited to see that you can play Street Fighter online, too! Now you can kick some boot-ay, arcade style, from the comfort of your own computer (unlike the old arcade days, now you can sit and play it in your undies if you want). All you need is Flash player and an internet connection! -Liza
