The 4th Detroit Urban Craft Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Saturday on November 21st at the Majestic Theater! You can also join The Detroit Urban Crafters the night before, this Friday, in the Cafe for the DUCF Tweetup from 7 to 9 P.M.
Crafters say the trends in Detroit are driven by everything around them, politically and ecologically. Everything from a slow economy to the desire for community, enjoyment of working with hands, desire to support local businesses, and a renewed interest among women who grew up viewing craftwork as an option not an expectation. Basically, it is an awesome craft fair, hosted by BUST, and everyone in the area should DEF attend.
