But they can also be the reason why we prefer certain clothing in our closets. We consulted with astrology experts Tali and Ophira Edut, aka the AstroTwins, to learn how to make our wardrobes more in sync with the zodiac. The next time you can’t decide what to wear, take some tips from the heavenly bodies to make your body look more heavenly.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
[Left] Scorpios are all about originality, so they want one-of-a-kind pieces. They’ve got a punk-rock edge and like to seduce, but they do it in a balanced, subtle way. Scorpios love dressing in black—it makes their favorite beauty item, red lipstick, stand out exquisitely.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
[Right] There are two types of Geminis when it comes to fashion: the ones who are nutty for color, and those who who go for something chic, sleek, and black. Conversation pieces are ideal for Geminis, who like to announce themselves with their clothing. This sign should have fun piling on the accessories, like stacks of rings or a bold, statement necklace.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
[Left] Colors like aquamarine and lavender look beautiful on them, but as the sign that rules fantasy, you can also see Pisces sporting a dreamy, almost sci-fi type of look. Hippie style with a girly, ethereal touch would be another good vibe for paradoxical Pisces. Pisces rules the feet, so they usually have interesting shoes.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
[Right] Aquarians are multi-faceted when it comes to their clothing. Ranging from bohemian, to girl-next-door, to experimental, their style encompasses simple, preppy pieces and eccentric vintage items. Amethysts and blues are the ideal colors for Aquarius. They like going for shock value, but aren’t combative— Aquarians get along with everyone.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
The most feminine of the 12 signs is Cancer. The moon is their celestial ruler, so a dress in silver or white would be their ultimate garb. They also tend to be nostalgic and sentimental, so vintage jewelry would be an ideal accessory. As the sign most likely to be found with a crochet needle in hand, their style can also lean towards what you’d call “grandma chic.”

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
As fans of high-quality, neutral-colored clothing and classic pieces, the Cap can rock something simple really beautifully. (Menswear is another favorite.) Capricorn is also the sign of material success and achievement, so statement luxury pieces would make them feel right at home.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Aries are the trendsetters of the zodiac, and gravitate toward modern, edgy pieces that no one’s ever seen before. With a fondness for chic minimalism balanced with the desire to stand out, Aries should focus on just one attention-getting piece rather a flamboyant, head-to-toe outfit. Leather, metallics, or even a bold accessory would be perfect for the sign that claims red as its signature color.

Since this is the sign that rules the throat, a top or accessory that focuses on the collarbone could be a great Taurean look. They’d also be at home in earthy colors and shades of green.

They’d look fantastic in clothing or accessories—especially in fiery shades of red, yellow, or purple—inspired by an exotic trip.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
[Right] Ruled by radiant Venus, Libras look great in rainbow-bright hues. This sign likes to be decorative when it comes to their style, whether draping themselves in edgy patterns or going wild with nail art. A good pair of jeans should be a staple in the Libra closet. After all, they are the sign that rules the booty.
