Disappointingly, of the 53 people featured in this exhibition spin-off, only ten of them are of the female variety. So bonus points if you manage to call up one of them!
Some of the fab females featured include:
Jennifer Gonnerman, a highly-regarded journalist currently writing for New York magazine. In 2004, she released the book Life on the Outside: The Prison Odyssey of Elaine Bartlett. The book influenced New York’s legislators to reform the notoriously strict Rockefeller drug laws.
Abby Moser. Moser spent most of the 90’s creating the documentary “Grrrl Love and Revolution: Riot Grrrl NYC.” The film documents the feminist punk movement and its influence in New York.
