It’s Friday. Clearly, I’m very focused on my work, and am not at all daydreaming about the upcoming weekend and the gorgeous fall weather that has shown its face the past week. To me, Autumn means warm sweaters and comfort food; I’m already planning my menu for the next week; so many soups & stews to be had!
But it’s dessert that gets me the most excited. Without air conditioning (help me, I’m poor), it was very difficult to find inspiration to bake this summer. I’ve got a raging sweet tooth, but even I have to draw the line somewhere. But now that it’s cooling down? Watch out, world.
And what better way to christen a newly reclaimed kitchen than with an overload of adorable?
Unless you’ve taken an internet hiatus for the last year, you know Boo, the world’s cutest puppy, and Grumpy Cat, the world’s grumpiest cat. Well, the mind-blowingly talented Bakerella has made them even cuter (like that’s even possible), in cake pop form!
I’m sure if I tried to make these myself I’d have to eat my words, but her decorating instructions and step-by-step photos are very comprehensive, and seem to be relatively simple. Although, let’s be honest, if mine turned out even half as adorable as hers did, I would be hard-pressed to eat them. Some things are just too cute to be destroyed.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to squash the impulse to go Google pictures of Boo. Happy Friday, y’all!
