Teen Girl Becomes the Youngest Lawyer Ever, Can She Get a Round of Applause?

by Mary Grace Garis

Let’s break this down. 18-year-old Gabrielle Turnquest was just called to the bar in the UK, making her the youngest person OF ALL TIME to ever qualify as a lawyer. In over 600 years, nobody this young has accomplished that. Not to mention the average person takes the bar exam at 27. Apparently this sweet, bright girl was not even what the average age was and “didn’t fully realize the impact of it.”

I’m 22 and have not even put on my pants yet today.

Originally a Florida resident, she plans to go back to America so she can qualify as a lawyer there. However she CAN also work in the Bahamas, where her parents are from, and where she’d ultimately like to practice law as well.

Gabrielle has aspirations to eventually be a “fashion law specialist.” I’m not even entirely sure what that entails, but it sounds super cool.

And let’s not forget that Miss Turnquest already made waves when she graduated Liberty University for her undergrad studies at 16.

I’m still 30 credits away from my Bachelors degree and eating Strawberry Shortcake for breakfast.

This girl is incredible. Everyone else can go home.
