Frequent BUST contributor and all around badass lady Mish Way proved once and for all that she is not one for taking sexist hecklers lightly. The White Lung singer and her band played a Red Bull Sound Select show at Palisades, a Brooklyn club, last night along with Power Trip and Sick Feeling. After a few minutes of the first song, some balding bro in the front decided to start, as Way claims on her Twitter account, calling her a cunt and flipping her the bird.
Ever the tough broad, Way and the huge dude grabbed for each other, with the former yelling into the microphone, “Get the fuck out!” If you have to ask whether or not she stopped playing the song, well then, you just don’t know how epically tough this lady is overall.
About a minute later, Way went down into the crowd of spectators and started throwing punches at the guy, still singing, with White Lung bassist Hether Fortune and a fan pushing the guy out of the room soon after.
The cherry on top of this dickwad sundae is that once the song ended and Way returned to the stage she yelled into the mic, ““Get the fuck out of here! Don’t you dare lay a finger on me, motherfucker! Get out of here, motherfucker! Oh man, you know what? As a woman, I have fucked enough shitty dudes, I have put my way. Fuck off! Fuck you!”
Hashtag, OWNED.
Come on guys, don’t heckle somebody when you can’t handle the response. And it clearly doesn’t matter if your target of choice has a vagina or not; she’ll still beat the crap outta you and put you in your place, namely, outside and uninvited.
