Melissa McCarthy’s Clothing Line ‘Seven7’ Is Plus-Size Heaven

by BUST Magazine

Melissa McCarthy is pioneering a body-positivity revolution. She’s not only changing the game in Hollywood as a non-stereotypical leading lady, but also with her latest passion project—a clothing line called Seven7 that aims to improve plus-size women’s fashion. As a kid, the actress used to cut out images from magazines as inspiration for her own designs.

“I’ve been every size on the planet,” McCarthy told Women’s Wear Daily. “I have experience dressing me as a 6, a 12, and more. And when you go above a size 12, you don’t lose your love for fashion. I always said, ‘Why can’t I find great stuff?’”

So McCarthy took matters into her own hands and released a line of fashionable clothes that comes in sizes 4 through 28. The collection features everything from dresses (with pockets!) to T-shirts, denim, and animal-print knit trousers. The best part? McCarthy made sure you don’t need a celebrity’s salary to wear ’em: The line (available at Macy’s, Lane Bryant, Nordstrom, HSN, and MelissaMcCarthy.com) is affordable, with prices ranging from $54 to $159.
