Jessica Williams Helps You Avoid Creeps On Your Commute

by Sarah Thomasson

Jessica Williams has a gift when it comes to appealing to the everyday feminist. Her segment from last Thursday’s episode of The Daily Show highlights the issue of catcalling and street harassment.

Showing how completely ordinary harassment is, Williams brings a camera along on her way to work. She gets catcalled by construction workers and a security guard. Just like Williams, getting the horny clap of approval from any guy does not improve my day, it actually creeps me out. So guys, get some impulse control, cause I got some shit to do.”

For those dealing with their own daily commute, Williams shows a map of how she gets to work to avoid any harassment, though she advises to avoid all men because it is inevitable.

This segment is very comforting, funny, and generally something to make your day a little brighter. Hopefully, it’ll make someone think twice before harassing a woman during her day.
