Fast Fashion Will Soon Be Available for Your Home, Too

by Intern Lauren

Fast fashion won’t just be hanging up on the racks in your favorite cheap retail store anymore—its availability will soon extend to your home, thanks to H&M.

Just last Thursday, WWD reported that H&M Home is set to hit the U.S. in early 2013. The home line will offer collections of linens, decorative storage, and various knick-knacks for your bedroom, bathroom, and living room. According to Refinery29, “the prices are slightly more expensive than Ikea, but the designs are a lot less college-dorm room and a lot more ‘my first nice apartment.’”

For the time being, we can stick to being jealous of H&M U.K., seeing as though the line has already launched over there. Highlights from the U.K.’s H&M Home site? A “Decadent Glamour” collection, featuring a combination of different patterns and textures, a “Feminine Bohemian” collection, which mixes brights with warmer, deeper fall tones and a whole lot of floral pattern, and a “Pretty Kitty” collection that has all your cutesy kitty house ware needs covered (do you really need me to say which collection is our favorite?).

There’s no official word on an exact launch date yet, so cross your fingers (and toes, while you’re at it) that early 2013 doesn’t magically switch to late 2013. Head over to H&M Home U.K. and get green with envy excited for what’s to come next year.
