I don’t know about you, but every time I go to a tea party and a fight breaks out I just find myself totally unprepared. Luckily, one clever Etsy shop owner has created a solution to this age-old problem by creating brass knuckles made out of a recycled piece of Johnson Brothers china.
Juliet Ames of Baltimore’s The Broken Plate Pendant Co. has crafted a very pretty china hand-piece that is the standard size of brass knuckles, 4 1/2 ” wide and 2 1/4″ tall. You wouldn’t want to look silly in improperly sized china brass knuckles, of course! You can also request the piece to be made into a necklace, which says “don’t fuck with me” in the most adorable way possible.
Ames makes all sorts of jewelry out of plate fragments, and can salvage that family heirloom serving platter that shattered into a hundred pieces when you dropped it, into a necklace. She’s also started a Tumblr called Fuck Yeah Plates showcasing all sorts of cool and quirky plate designs!
