10 Of The Best Responses To The #SwedenIncident

by Leah Thomas

Donald Trump sparked yet another social media firestorm, equipped with memes, gifs and a substantial amount of IKEA references, after his controversial allegations of a (nonexistent) terrorist attack in Sweden. #alternativefact

At a campaign rally this past weekend, the “president” stated, “You look at what’s happening in Germany. You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers, and they’re having problems like they never thought possible.”

What problems was he referring to, exactly?

Why was he holding a campaign rally only one month into his presidency?

What did we do to deserve this?

Trump took to twitter to defend his remarks with this explanation:

Apparently, Trump has replaced his intelligence briefings with one hour of the ever-so-unbiased Fox News per day.

Comforting.

The rest of the world (including Sweden) reacted by doing what Trump does best: tweeting.

It appears as though the “Talking Cheeto” could use a vocabulary lesson on his favorite term: fake news.
