Half a Century of Photography in One Night!!

by Team Intern

Autumn and Jerry de Wilde, whose combined careers span from the 60’s to the present, are well known for capturing iconic images of influential artists and events. Their shared exhibit "Autumn de Wilde & Jerry de Wilde: Two Generations of Counterculture Photography" opens on October 17 at the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s Soho Loft, and will feature a selection of 50 photos by the father/daughter duo. That’s twice the awesome in one night! Jerry de Wilde’s photography traced the Counterculture of the late 60’s into the 70’s, from the Monterey Pop Festival to Art Happenings and Love-Ins. He passed the brilliant genes on, too. Autumn de Wilde has photographed contemporary artists such as Jenny Lewis, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Spoon (among many others). She has also directed videos and created album packaging for Elliott Smith, Beck, and The White Stripes. The exhibit will run through November 30 so there is no reason to miss it.

Love,

Lauren
