Zine-vasion Expert Panel at St. Mark’s Bookshop!

by Larissa Dzegar

How do you make a zine?

Why do you make a zine?

How did you get into zine-making in the first place?

What other zines do you read?
Where can I get my zine photocopied?
How are zines distributed?
Where are zines reviewed?
Where can you go to buy zines?
How do you pronounce it?
And how can I find out more?

Be you a seasoned vet, a zi-curious newbie, or an unrelated browser in the right place at the right time, you’re invited join the contributors to the Zinester’s Guide to NYC for a reading, Q and A, and open consignment session on Tuesday, November 30th, 7:00pm, at St. Mark’s Bookshop!

Bring three copies of your zine if you’d like St. Mark’s Bookshop to sell it on a consignment basis. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up (more than one) copy of The Zinester’s Guide to NYC – an invaluable resource for New Yorkers, visitors, and art supply requiring, photocopying, bookstore haunting, highly participatory individuals of a low budget, zinely bent!

This evening’s distinguished guests include:

Ayun Halliday, The East Village Inky

Melissa Bastain, Anywhere I Lay My Head

Josh Saitz, Negative Capability

Esther Smith, Purgatory Pie Press
