London. Heatwave! Well, without trying to jinx our recent run of sunshine, come the August London Summer Craftacular we don’t want punters overheating or experiencing any kind of shopping meltdown. So, we couldn’t think of a better way to beat the heat and keep stylishly refreshed than with a vintage tea party. By the way, all you crafters can STILL apply! The deadline is July 13th and fast approaching.
Coming courtesy of London’s queen of the kitchy charm Lady Luck Rules OK is the Pop-Up Tea Shoppe. In homage to the age-old tradition of taking high tea, five tables will be decked out in tableware from either the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s or 1970s. Take a seat, and a waitress decked in the fashions of the era will serve up home-baked fancies and organic fairtrade tea, special summer ice-cream cupcakes and homemade lemonade. Simply charming!
