Portland-based artist Sarah Levy responded to Donald Trump’s general fuckery with blood. In numerous instances, the former reality-tv show host, billion-dollar tycoon of scum has proven himself worthy of rebuttal. Per recent Trump ridiculousness, Sarah Levy got the idea to paint a portrait of Trump with her blood around a month ago, according to Bitch Magazine, but had to wait for her ammunition to flow forth per the magic of the menstrual cycle.
Trump made haste in identifying himself as a scumbag and said during his presidential campaign announcement that Mexican immigrants are “rapists.” He said days ago during a Texas rally that the United States has become a “dumping ground” for the rest of the world, and that “it’s disgusting what is happening to our country.”
I’m with you, Donald. The fact that your candidacy is a real thing existing beyond the imagination of a failing stand-up comic moves many of us to queasy levels of disbelief and despondency. What is happening to our country? With reasonable rage, Trump’s comments sent Levy searching between her legs for refute.
Blood is an apt medium as, in other news of Trump’s laughable commentary on the workings of the universe, he misogynistically ragged on FOX News commentator Megyn Kelly for having a female body. What I mean to say is that, when Kelly asked Trump a difficult question during the initial GOP presidential debate, the stumped Trump had an unfortunately typical drunk toddler style meltdown. He later told CNN’s Don Lennon that, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her…wherever.” OMG. Dude you can say the word vagina like, we are not talking about Voldemort. TRUMP YOU SHALL FEAR ME FOR I AM WOMAN WITH BLOOD RIVERS AND LIFE BEARING FORCES.
“That he thinks he can bring up the healthy functioning of women’s reproductive systems to insult women’s intelligence is a big problem that I think needs to be called out,” Levy told BuzzFeed News. Levy saved her blood using a menstrual cup, and used a fresh tampon to capture the rosy base layer of Trump’s face. She used Q tips dipped in vials of saved blood and a paintbrush. “It’s basically like water coloring, but with blood,” Levy said to Bitch.
The portrait is titled “Whatever,” which pretty much sums up the irreverent zen necessary to survive as a young woman living in a world currently dominated by absurdly powerful lubberworts such as Donald Trump. She is still looking for a buyer of the original portrait, whose proceeds will go to a yet-to-be-determined immigrant rights organization. You can buy prints of the painting on her Etsy page.
