If you own an official Polaroid camera manual from the 1960’s, 70’s or 80’s you’ve undoubtedly noticed the mod ladies stiffly posing for product shots. With perfectly manicured†nails and immaculately coiffed hair, these ladies were not only fine as wine, but they’re also a window into the fashion of the day. If you have seen the hit series Mad Men and salivated over the styles of the working girls, this is your chance to step into those heels and take a memo! Let’s have some playful fun with 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s style. LandCameras.com and Bust Magazine are sponsoring the first ever photo contest based on a series of camera manuals! We’re looking to have you reproduce some of the classic images with a modern twist. There will be two categories, ìOriginal Reproductionsî and the “Open category” where you can create your own image in the style of these photos. Let your creativity run wild (as wild as it can in heels and turtle necked sweaters!). Our sponsors have put together a heap of prizes to sweeten the stakes. Winners and selected works will be published online at Bust.com – Grand prize winners receive one of our handsome hand restored instant cameras!
