A member of Pussy Riot is the latest to call Donald Trump what he is: human garbage. Maria Alekhina (also known as Masha), a member of the Russian feminist punk rock protest group, drew some really accurate parallels between Trump and Vladimir Putin.
Masha talked about how electing a ridiculous president is funny until you realize you’re actually stuck with that president. She told The Huffington Post, “When Putin came to his first term or second term, nobody [in Russia] actually thought that this is serious. Everybody was joking about it. And nobody could imagine that after five, six years, we would have a war in Ukraine, annexation of Crimea, and these problems in Syria.”
She went on to say, “Everybody [is] joking about Donald Trump now, but it’s a very short way from joke to sad reality when you have a really crazy president speaking about breaking every moral and logic norm. “
Masha summed it up really well in this pithy statement: “If you want in your country to have your own Putin, you can vote for Donald Trump.” Truth.
We’re with you, girl. We DEFINITELY should not elect Donald Trump. Your vote is important, as always, but it’s particularly important because you can use it to stop a moron from becoming president.
