Apparently some guys still think it’s okay to clap at women on the street, as if it’s a classier way to catcall. “It’s not harassment! It’s appreciation!” they cry. Well, we won’t accept that answer and we call shenanigans. Jessica Williams is all too familiar with this brand of bullshit and on The Daily Show last week, she made it known this behavior is unacceptable.
“Our walk to work is not there for him to comment on. It’s not a red carpet, it’s not a Fashion Week runway, it’s a sidewalk. And believe it or not, getting the horny clap of approval from ANY guy does NOT improve my day, it ACTUALLY creeps me out. So guys, get some impulse control, cause I’ve got some shit to do.”
