Sally Nixon is an illustrator who creates fantastic little drawings of the modern female. Her illustrations are honest and endearing while representing real women in everyday life. Vivid colors, contrasting patterns and realistic settings create a unique experience for her audience. As I sort through her work, certain thoughts come to mind such as, “Hey, that looks like me” and “That’s exactly what I did all day yesterday” concluding with, “Wow, that picture embodies my whole existence.” Basically, Nixon draws pictures of me. And you. And all our friends.
