This Saturday, July 30, Webb Gallery in Waxahachie, TX, will host a show called Super Secret Crush featuring 22 women working in the comic book world. The exhibit will include artwork and comics by Georganne Deen, Megan Whitmarsh, Martha Rich, Dame Darcy, Nina Frenkel, Ayumi Piland, Mimi Pond, Jackie Dunn Smith, Lorna Leedy, Vanessa Davis, Gabrielle Bell, Hellen Jo, Esther Pearl Watson (creator of BUST‘s comic, “Tammy Pierce is Unlovable”), Pacolli, Tasha Kusama, Saejean Oh, Nora Krug, Katherine Guillen, Aya Kakeda, Jennifer Juniper Stratford (that’s me!), Rachell Sumpter, Aiyana Udesen, Prudence Fenton, and Bubbles the artist (courtesy of Allie Willis).
