If you didn’t know, we are 100% on board with the adult coloring book craze, and it seems like there is no end to the creative coloring books that are coming out. One of our newest favorites is Color Me Jane: A Jane Austen Adult Coloring Book by Jacqui Oakley.
Color Me Jane contains drawings of iconic Austen scenes and characters for Janeites to lovingly color in — Elizabeth and Darcy dancing; Elizabeth getting her dress covered in mud as she heads to see Jane at Mr. Bingley’s house; Mr. Kingsley scolding Emma; and Anne Elliot reading Captain Wentworth’s letter, to name just a few.
There are also drawings of Austen-era fashion, home decor, and food for fans to marvel over while they cover — Prawns en Bouquet, anyone? Or maybe a half calf’s head?
You can also color in some of Austen’s iconic words — everything from “You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope” from Persuasion (swoon!) to “But indeed, I would rather have nothing but tea” from Mansfield Park (#same).
We’re excited to bring you three of the drawings from Color Me Jane — print them out and color them in, and enjoy!
